HOW AYANA BIO DOES THIS

We develop plant cells that we then grow in stainless steel tanks, producing bioactive ingredients with consistent potency or even enhanced effectiveness.

STEP ONE

We source and grow authenticated plants in a controlled lab environment to sample tissue.

STEP TWO

We sample various plant parts—such as flowers, roots, and leaves— from authenticated plants to identify the optimal cell lines for producing targeted bioactives.

STEP THREE

We feed the explant with a proprietary blend of micronutrients, optimized for each plant species, to form callus. The callus is then adapted to liquid media, where both solid and liquid growth environments are screened to assess growth and metabolites produced, ensuring optimal bioactive production.

STEP FOUR

We use state-of-the-art technologies like high-throughput multi-omics to identify the most effective cell lines for producing specific bioactives. Once the optimal cell line is found, it is locked in for further optimization.

Once a cell line has passed product screening, we initiate process development. Ayana Bio cultivates each specific cell line in a controlled bioreactor environment to optimize both cell growth and bioactive production.

After developing the bioprocess, we scale up optimized cell lines for commercial production. We then harvest the cells for bioactive compounds, which are extracted or isolated according to customer specifications.
